A MODERN TWIST ON A CLASSIC

Love & Theft is an interdisciplinary online publication venue that celebrates influence across creative mediums. We want the borrowed, the lifted, the thrifted, the reclaimed, the reborn, the modern twist on an old tale, the familiar melody in a new key. We want work that knows where it comes from, that isn’t afraid of its origin.

Love & Theft publishes original work in conversation, either explicitly or implicitly, with its creative predecessors. What form that conversation takes—from footnotes to interview to companion pieces—will be determined in consultation between editors and contributors.

Love & Theft is committed to celebrating creators at all stages of their careers, from students to emerging and established artists. We actively seek work from voices marginalized and appropriated by canon.
